Dunoon and the Cowal peninsula offer visitors an abundance of recreational activities in beautiful countryside never more than a few miles from sea or loch. Most are based on the natural beauty of the area often enhanced by enterprising horticulturists, sporting groups or the forestry commission. The most obvious attractions are the hills and mountains and the sea, lochs and rivers which between them underpin most of the actives in this section.
